22 February 2012On the evening of Friday 16th March, the eve of the Six Nations clash at Twickenham, the England v Ireland Legends charity game is being held at The Twickenham Stoop. Mike Maskell - Upper Capton RFC
22 February 2012Mike Maskell, President of Upper Clapton RFC has sadly died. His funeral will take place at 12 noon on Friday the 24th of February at Nazeing Church EN9 2JN and afterwards at Upper Clapton for curry. Club blazers should be worn. No flowers please, but the family has requested donations to be made to The Hemiplegia Charity Due to the restricted capacity, guests are asked to please wait outside the church until invited inside by the family. A tribute to Pinner & Grammarian's Bill North by David Hiles
24 January 2012Bill North who was 89, sadly passed away early on Thursday 15th December. He retired after twenty-five years as President of Pinner & Grammarians R.F.C in June 2002. Bill joined the former Pinner R.F.C. in 1948. He captained various lower XV's before becoming captain of the First XV during the mid-1950’s. Read more...

An accomplished sportsman, with a special passion for rugby, Oku was first Japanese national to play for the Blues XV during his time at Hertford, and was a long-standing member of the Japan RFU. Ian Ritchie named as RFU’s new CEO
17 December 2011Ian Ritchie will become the new Chief Executive Officer of the Rugby Football Union. Ritchie joins from The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club (AELTC) where he is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will take over from RFU Acting CEO Stephen Brown who will revert back to his role as Chief Financial Officer.
