RFU Grand Draw Results

10 April 2012

The winners of the RFU Grand Draw 2011-12 have been announced, though unfortunately none of the winners are from within Middlesex. Nonetheless, Middlesex has raised a total of £2148 through the sale of tickets, of which the County keeps 90% of the income to plough back into community rugby.

In addition, a number of Patrons made personal donations to the County amounting to another £100. The income from the draw helps to fund the enormous amount of work done by Middlesex Rugby in promoting youth rugby in our area.

Despite the fact that Middlesex did not produce any winners, the winners have have come from the length and breadth of England underlining how popular the Draw is in every region.

The draw, which attracted just short of 700 entries from clubs and schools, CBs and Referees Societies, Student Clubs, ERFSU and RFUW members, reaches every part of the Community game.

The total raised reached £453,000, almost exactly the same as 2010/11. This takes the total amount since the Draw began past £3 million, all of it used for the benefit of grassroots rugby!

The Draw Organisers, who put in so much effort for the good of the game and its development, are keen to thank all the Prize Donors, including RFU sponsors, partners and service providers, without whom they could not offer such fantastic prizes.

Planning for the next Draw starts NOW. If you have any suggestions please email  them to grand.draw@therfu.com and the organisers will try to take your views into account.
