David Ransom Cup
Inaugural Presentation at Staines.
Mrs Beryl Ransom was at Staines RFC when Middlesex played Hertfordshire in the last of the County’s games to present the D.C.Ransom Cup.
This cup is to be awarded annually to the winners of the County Club games between Middlesex and Hertfordshire. These games were particularly dear to David’s heart and he was very influential in reviving the County Clubs side after a break of several years. He felt that players from the more junior clubs within our counties would enjoy the experience of playing for their County. The games are played on a home and away basis and this year the cup goes to Hertfordshire for winning both games.
