MIDDLESEX COUNTY RFU
MEETING STRUCTURE REVIEW

Over the last year or so there have been quite a few rumbles about the county’s meeting structure, content and attendance, particularly the General Committee but also, in varying degrees, the 4 groups.

The current structure has been in place for a good number of years so it makes sense to conduct a review and look at how best to disseminate information and provide opportunities for informed debate in those areas which need it.

Keith King has very kindly agreed to take on the review task. His approach will be to talk to as many involved people as possible throughout the county’s administration and clubs; he will not be forming a working group (yet more meetings) but will use other colleagues where appropriate.

I would be grateful for your help in this exercise by expressing freely and honestly your views on the topic should you be asked by Keith or others working with him.

The results should be very interesting and will be published.

Many thanks

Andrew Mortimer

To VICE PRESIDENTS , MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL COMMITTEE HON SECRETARIES OF AFFILIATED CLUBS CLUB GROUP REPRESENTATIVES

21st August 2007

Following the success of the resolution at the RFU AGM, which lowered the threshold for 2 RFU Representatives from 70 to 60 Section 1 Clubs, we are able, once again, to appoint a second rep. This is subject to certain RFU formalities.

After consultation at all levels within the county I am pleased to tell you that we have informed the RFU that Chris Cuthbertson will be that second Representative.

I am sure you will agree that the Udwin/Cuthbertson duet is a very strong one providing us with high quality representation on Council.
